Aaron Greenwell, MA, LLPC, SCL

Mr. Greenwell is a limited license professional counselor and school counselor. Aaron earned a Master’s in Counseling from Oakland University in 2023 with qualification as a School Counselor (SCL) and a Mental Health Counselor (LLPC). He earned his degree while working with children and families in the education system with over 8 years experience with specialization working with special needs populations and autism (ASD).

Aaron uses a client-centered and systems approach to address the client’s individual concerns, drawing from Humanistic, Psychodynamic, Existential, Cognitive-Behavioral, and Family Theories. He sees client concerns as stemming from internal and external sources such as the self, family, and community. Through the therapeutic process the client will discover what needs are not being met and the best methods to approach needs. Aaron works with individual clients and small group settings.

In his spare time, he spends time teaching Martial Arts and volunteering for artistic and creative events in the Metro-Detroit area. In addition, he spends time engaging in several hobbies including music, video games, board games, and many movement-based activities.
